THE LIFE AND WORKS OF THE MAN JESUS CHRIST ARE HISTORICAL REALITIES One needs a great deal of imagination and blind ‘faith’ to believe in Father Christmas, (the blasphemous Roman Catholic god of Christmas,) or in Fairy godmother, as those characters are indeed mere figments of religious imaginations, although they have their origin in the superstitious beliefs of pagan religions and actually represent demons that flourish in Christian churches. However, no one needs to ‘imagine’ or ‘have faith’ in the fact that a man named Napoleon Bonaparte was born in 1769; that he became a communist high mason and Illuminist, and that clandestine Masonic powers molded him into one of the greatest militarists this world has ever seen. One can only accept all that as truth, because it is documented historical fact. Similarly, no one – (whether spiritually dead or Scripturally born again as Scripture commands,) needs to imagine or even ‘come to believe’ that the man Jesus Christ was indeed born in Bethlehem, (Jn. 1:1-14; 3:3-5.) That He did many miracles, and was arrested by the Hebrew Sanhedrin on a charge of blasphemy because He made it plain that He Himself is God Who dwelt among men to atone for their sin. Jesus declared, “He who has seen Me [as a human being] has seen [God] the Father [in heaven;] how can you say, ‘Show us the Father?’ (Isa. 9:6; Jn. 14:9; Rev. 1:8; 1 Jn. 1:1-14; Col. 2:9-10; 1:15-18.) Crowds of Hebrews saw how Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate and crucified under Roman law as a political activist, who allegedly coveted the throne and kingdom of the Roman Caesar, because He said He is The Spiritual King [of the universe; Heb. 1:1-14; Jn. 18:36; 4:21-24.] What’s more, everyone, even His enemies who crucified Him, knew He rose bodily from the dead and ascended literally into heaven, because His body was nowhere to be found, even to this day, while the resurrected man Jesus openly walked the earth in His physical body for forty days until His bodily ascension into His heaven in the spirit world, (Jn. 18:36; Rev. chapters 21-22.) Paul testified first hand to this truth, “Jesus died for our sins according to the Scriptures, [everything about Him was prophesied in the Old Testament Scriptures and completely fulfilled by Jesus, so the Hebrew Sanhedrin knew perfectly well that He is risen,] and He was buried, [so He was really physically dead,] and He rose again after three days and three nights in the grave. He was first seen… [by Mary in the garden at the tomb, then] by the apostles, and by over five hundred brethren at once… [etcetera,]” (Jn. 20:11-17; 24-31; 1 Cor. 15:5-9.) All this too, is historical certainty. Everything about the man Jesus Christ was meticulously documented, not only by Old Testament prophets and His sincere disciples, but also by religious scholars and secular historians such as the first-century Hebrew historian Josephus. Not a single human being can argue against the life, works, death, resurrection, and ascension of the historical Jesus, and few do.
Still, those who blindly reject Him as God and Savior might dispute His bodily resurrection. Some say He was a mere ‘spirit.’ This was also what His terrified disciples thought when they saw Him for the first time after He died. Luke 24:36-49, “[But when they thought they saw a spirit, Jesus said,] “[Look at] My hands and My Feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” · All that too, is historically correct — despite the cover-up myth that Jesus’ body was ‘stolen’ and He is not risen. If this were at all possible; if Jesus’ body were still in a grave somewhere, the Hebrews would surely have done everything in their power to find the body. And if their efforts paid off and they could find His body, they would not have resorted to spreading the heinous lie that His body was stolen. The Satanic Sanhedrin or temple hierarchy would then have proudly paraded Jesus’ body in public to crush the newfound faith of His disciples, which took the whole world by storm after Jesus’ resurrection, and especially after Pentecost with the once-off outpouring of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
In addition, the idolatrous Roman Catholic Church was founded shortly after the Holy Spirit brought His New Testament temple, (all Jesus’ body of sincere believers,) into being on the Day of Pentecost, (1 Cor. 6:15-20.) Roman Catholic Church fathers such as Augustine led Catholics into relic or lucky-charm worship, (worshipping so-called pieces of the cross, etcetera, and the bones, hair, blood, and teeth of so-called ‘martyrs’ and deceased Catholic ‘saints,’) to invoke false ‘miracles’ and ‘healing.’ (God strictly forbade such idolatrous practices and to call upon the dead in Ex. 20:1-6 and Deut. 18:10-14!) If Jesus’ physical body was indeed stolen as the Hebrews alleged, the macabre Roman Catholics would have produced Jesus’ mummified body or some of His bones in later years to carry around as ‘lucky charms.’ However, praise God, for it remains a glorious historical reality that His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, or God Himself in the flesh of a mere man, rose bodily from the grave! Not a single bone or a slighter of His hair will ever be found! Then, the lie that Jesus was supposedly “risen as a spirit and not literally,” took hold of some deceived minds, as they cannot understand that a human body can literally rise from the dead, appear through walls, and ascend into the real heaven in the spirit world. However, as the Sadducee sect did not believe in the bodily resurrection, Paul explained the truth that Jesus was risen with a real but glorified body. His risen body was and is physical, yet indescribable and humanly incomprehensible ever-living; transcending all our manmade ideas on form and function in this world, (1 Cor. 15:35-58.) He wrote, “The body is sown in corruption, but raised [from death] in incorruption,” (1 Cor. 15:42.) This glorified body is not the indestructible human spirit of the living person, nor a ‘spirit’ in the so-called “spiritual minds” of the members of the Apostolic Movement, (1 Ths. 5:23.) At Jesus’ physical return on the clouds, all true believers will be bodily “changed in the twinkling of an eye at the sound of the last trumpet, when the dead will be raised incorruptible.” With their glorious bodies similar to Jesus’ resurrected body, they will literally meet Him in the physical air to go with Him to His real heaven or eternal dwelling place in the spirit world, (1 Cor. 15:50-58; 1 Ths. 4:15-18; Jn. 20:20; 27-29.)
Still, the dual Kingdom-Now beast of politics and religion sought every possible way to erase the Real Jesus from the annals of history. When every attempt failed, Satan tried to turn Jesus into a figment of His disciples’ imagination that never existed. When the devil could not get away with that lie, he tried to make Jesus into a mere man, (a human prophet,) whom he could actually murder on the cross, and keep in the grave. However, Jesus’ disciples did not merely ‘believe’ that He physically rose from the grave. They witnessed it as historical fact, which nobody could and can deny. They personally saw how He shed His blood for them — the blood, which “redeemed them as the forgiveness of their sins,” (Eph. 1:7; 12-14.) They witnessed His terrible torture as Jesus died that terrible death right before their eyes; although they mostly kept at a distance as they forsook Him at His trail and during the crucifixion. But later the apostles got the fright of their lives when they saw Him appear behind closed doors in their midst, eat fish and honey “in their presence,” and again disappear through the walls. While He was with them, they could see and physically touch the scars by which they were healed, (Isa. 53:3-5.) He “opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures, and taught them concerning Himself in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.” And the third time Jesus showed Himself to them after He had risen from the grave, they undeniably saw how he had actually prepared breakfast for them on the beach, (Jn. 21:12-14; Lu. 24:39-49.) After many days of Jesus’ interaction with His disciples, while they watched, “they literally saw how He was taken up, and how a [real] cloud in the sky received Him out of their sight.” They also, while looking steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, physically saw two supernatural angels of God that stood by them, clothed in white robes. And they personally heard them say, “Men of Galilee… This same Jesus Who was [bodily] taken up from you into heaven, will return in the same [bodily] way in which you [physically] saw Him go into heaven,” (Acts. 1:8-11; Eph. 1:7; Mt. 24:27-31; 25:1-13.) Repent from false doctrine and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior
