THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: 

There is a difference between the Kingdom of Heaven, (which is God’s eternal dwelling place in the spiritual world,) and the Kingdom of God, (which is the Spiritual Kingdom of Righteousness, Peace, and Joy [or the FRUIT] of the Holy Spirit in the hearts or spirits, in the souls or minds, and in the lives of mortal men, (Rom. 14:17; Gal. 5:22-23.) 

Jesus said, little children, who are still too young to understand the Gospel, belong to the Kingdom of Heaven, (Mt. 19:13-15.)  That means; should any child die before the age of accountability, the child will go to heaven. 

However, all those who are of accountable age, have to choose Jesus as their Messiah in order to become citizens of the Kingdom of God.  We can only enter the Kingdom of Heaven by becoming citizens of the spiritual Kingdom of God here on earth. 

‘Since you have purified your souls, [see the rebirth of the soul, or mind, in Rom. 12:1-2,] in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the [disciples of Christ,] love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been BORN again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the Word of God, which lives and abides forever.’ - 1 Pet. 1:22-23

‘In contrast to the expectations of the Jewish Pharisees, [as well as all other religious Pharisees,] the Kingdom of God is not external and physical, in the sense of being a [church system and] a political domain, but rather internal and spiritual.’  – [Lu. 17:20-21, Spirit Filled Bible.] 

Eph. 2:19-22, ‘[Because you were born again through faith in and acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ,] you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, [the born again believers] and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of [New Testament grace] and the [Old Testament law,] Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone, in Whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in Whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.’

Therefore Jesus said, ‘The Kingdom of God does not come with observation; [it is nothing physical like a church building or any other religious form,] nor will they say, See here!  or See there!  For the Kingdom of God is within you.’ 

And so Paul could write, ‘Flee sexual immorality.  Every sin that one does is outside the body, but the one who commits sexual immorality sins against his or her own body.  Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit Who is IN you, Whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought at a price, therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.’ - 1 Cor. 6:18-20.
