All honor, glory, and praise belong to our Father in heaven, His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of the Living God. “For by grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them… Therefore we are not overextending ourselves… not boasting of things beyond measure… but having hope, that as our faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged in our sphere, to preach the Gospel… and not to boast in another man’s sphere of accomplishment. But he who glories, let him glory in the Lord! For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends,” (Eph. 2:8-9; 2 Cor. 10:14-18.) My husband Glen and I have been through the water and the fire. Many times, it seemed as if all hope was lost, but God was there all the time. He was preparing us for this ministry. He was refining us; carrying us; strengthening us; teaching us; humbling and healing us. The mere fact that I am writing to you, testifies to the truth of God’s Word and the power of His Holy Spirit. A true calling of God is never an instant thing. He uses time and circumstances to accomplish ‘the good work that He had started in us.’ He never promised us physical peace in this world. He did, however, promise in Isa 43:1-7, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you… You have been honored, and I have loved you. Therefore I will give men for you and people for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar. And My daughters from the ends of the earth – everyone who is called by My Name, whom I have created for My glory.
