During Old Testament times, Jesus Christ the Son of God was a mystery.  Now, in New Testament times, God fully revealed that all sincere believers can become ‘partakers of His promise’ through the New Testament Gospel of Christ. 

Jesus Christ Himself is the ‘Logos’ or Written Word of God. Only Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life - and God the Father has revealed Himself through His Son in the entirety of New Testament Scripture.  Thus, Jesus became ‘the visible image of the invisible God.’  Jesus testified to this truth when He said, “He who has my [New Testament] commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.  And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest, [disclose, reveal, or make known] Myself to him,” (Ps. 119:160; Col. 1:15; Jn. 14:21; Jn. 13:34.) 

One cannot add or subtract anything from the Man Jesus Christ, for He Is the New Testament Truth of God, (Jn. 14:6; 16:13,14.) 

It’s all there, explained on paper; there’s nothing more. 

Jesus is the complete revelation of God; we will never need anyone else. 

Thus, God does not and will not add to Scripture.  He will never give a ‘third testament,’ a ‘new gospel,’ ‘new scripture,’ ‘new authoritative teaching,’ or ‘new revelations’ to Jesus’ body of believers, (Deut. 4:2; 12:32; Rev. 22:18-19; Gal. 1:9.) 

Rev. 19:10b, the much-abused verse that Adventists use, actually reads as follows, ‘[All sincere believers] have the testimony of Jesus…  For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.’  This means that Jesus Himself, or the word which Jesus spoke, ‘IS the testimony’ or the Gospel of Jesus, which had already been revealed by the Holy Spirit, the Omniscient ‘Spirit of Prophecy!’  Consequently, only the Testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, as predestined and foretold by the Holy Spirit during Old Testament times, and revealed through the New Testament Jesus, can be Real Scriptural Truth, (Isa. chapters 53, 61; Jn. 1:1, Ps. 119:160; Jn. 1:1.) 

 

ELLEN WHITE TAUGHT THAT JESUS IS THE ARCHANGEL MICHAEL: 

www.Jesus-Is-Savior.com quoted Ellen White as stating, “The man Christ Jesus was not the Lord God Almighty," Ellen White (1903, ms 150, SDA Commentary V, p. 1129.)” Jesus-Is-Savior.com elaborated, “John 1:1-3,14; 10:33; 1st Timothy 2:5; 3:16; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 7:4; Revelation 1:8; 15:3, 16:5-7; and 17:14 all show that Jesus is Almighty God.  Ellen G. White is a LIAR!  The REAL Jesus is God [in the flesh of a man,] Christ Jesus.  He was never an Archangel!  He's not God-angel-man.  Clearly, SDA's have a different Jesus, a false Jesus.  It is important to note that Jehovah's Witnesses (JW's) teach the same false doctrine, i.e., that Jesus is Michael.” 

Ellen White actually declared, “Michael, or Christ, with the angels that buried Moses...” Jude 9, Spiritual Gifts, IV a.p. 158.) 

According to Scripture, the Lord Jesus Christ is definitely NOT a creation of God, but the Creator God Himself!  The writer of Heb. 1:5-14 declared,  “For to which of the angels did God ever say:  You are my Son, today I have begotten [not created] you [in the form of a human being...]  Let ALL the angels worship [Jesus…]  You, [Jesus Lord,] in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.  They will perish, but You remain; and they will all grow old like a garment…  but You are the same.” 

 

SDA PLACES ‘THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY’ ABOVE THE AUTHORITY OF GOD’S WORD: 

When William Miller falsely prophesied that Christ would return, (hence the name Adventist) in the year 1844, Ellen White tried to excuse and ‘rectify’ his ‘mistake.’

She wrote, “Those who followed in the light of the PROPHETIC WORD, [not the entirety of Biblical truth,] saw that, instead of coming to earth at the termination of the 2,300 days in 1844 as Prophet William Miller had so dogmatically and widely proclaimed, Christ then entered into the most holy place of the heavenly (sanctuary) to perform the closing work of atonement preparatory to His coming. “

Poor, deceived Ellen!  In complete disobedience to a very important precept of the OT Law, which commanded that such ‘a false prophet must die,’ she emphatically proclaimed that Miller was just ‘a little off, and not really false.’  Do her followers realize that, by trying to earn their salvation through their twisted view of the Ten Commandments, Adventists actually place themselves back under the Law?  According to Gal. 2:20-21; 3:10-14 then, they must and will be judged by the Law, without the mercy of Christ!  [Read Deut. 13 & 18:20-22.] 

Ellen blundered further wayward, “In 1844, it was not to earth, but to the ‘heavenly sanctuary’ He came to ‘complete the work of atonement,’ and [then] to carry on ‘investigative judgment.’” 

‘Investigative judgment’ – even after He supposedly came to ‘complete the atonement?’  Yes well, she had to fabricate this incredible fallacy in order to “prepare Christ’s coming at a later date!”  Even worse, White actually alleged that “there is sin in heaven, (in the Adventists’ ‘material’/heavenly sanctuary somewhere here on earth,) and the sanctuary itself has to become some kind of ‘mediator’ and bear the sins of the believer for the last time.  However, the ‘sanctuary’ still ‘needs cleansing,’ which supposedly ‘began’ in 1844.  If only these early Adventists had followed in the light of God’s contextual Truth, the Bible! 

Sadly, the ‘Fundamental Beliefs of Seventh-day Adventists, No. 17,’ includes the following statement, “As the ‘Lord’s messenger,’ [Ellen G. White’s] writings are a continuing and authoritative source of truth which provide for the church comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction…” 

If Adventists had made the Bible their Authoritative Source of Truth, and became DOERS of the Word, they would not have believed a single world of all this blasphemy!  But in the mind of an Adventist, “the writings of Ellen G. White are inspired on the same level as the Bible. She is the later inspired writer [of the Bible,]” and many of her followers hold that “her interpretation of the Bible is to be preferred over the meaning the Biblical text itself conveys….” – [‘The SDA Deception,’ by David J. Stewart; ‘Cultic Doctrine,’ by Ratzlaff, and ‘White out of Cleveland,’ by Anderson.] 

 

ADVENTISM DENIES THE COMPLETE ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST AS THE ONLY MEANS OF SALVATION: 

Ellen White declared, “The ministration of the priest throughout the year in the first apartment of the sanctuary, [a material/heavenly sanctuary, which, she believes, is somewhere on earth,] represents the work of ministration upon which Christ entered at His ascension…  For 18 centuries this work of ministration continued in the first apartment of the sanctuary.  The blood of Christ, pleaded in behalf of penitent believers, secured their pardon and acceptance with the Father, YET THEIR SINS STILL REMAINED UPON THE BOOKS OF RECORD!”  [From ‘The Great Controversy,’ Ellen White and ‘Heresies Exposed,’ by Irvine.’] 

Until this ‘progressive atonement’ is complete, there is no forgiveness for Adventists – yet Jesus declared with His last breath on the cross, “IT IS FINISHED!” 

Ellen’s blasphemous statement denies the complete atonement of Christ on the cross.  In God’s infinite grace, however, He already warned against this terrible blunder when Paul wrote in Col. 2:8-15, ‘Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit…  For in Jesus Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and you are COMPLETE in Him… having forgiven you ALL trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us…  He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross…’ 

In spite of this truth, White elaborated on her fallacy, “As in typical service there was a work of atonement at the close of the year, so before Christ’s work for redemption of men is completed, there is a work of atonement for the removal of sin from the sanctuary.  This is the service which began when the 2,300 days ended [in 1844!]  At that time, as foretold by Daniel the prophet, our high priest entered the most holy to perform the last division of his solemn work to cleanse the sanctuary…  In the new covenant the sins of the repentant are by faith place upon Christ, and transferred, in fact, to the heavenly sanctuary… so the actual cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary is to be accomplished by the removal, or blotting out, of the sins which are there recorded.  But, before this can be accomplished, there must be an examination of the books of record to determine who, through repentance of sin and faith in Christ, are entitled to the benefits of His atonement.  The cleansing of the sanctuary therefore involves a work of investigation – a work, of judgment.  Those who followed in the light of the PROPHETIC WORD [not the light of the truth of Scripture!] saw that, instead of coming to earth at the termination of the 2,300 days in 1844 as Prophet William Miller had so dogmatically and widely proclaimed, Christ then entered into the most holy place of the heavenly, to perform the closing work of atonement preparatory to His coming. “

 

WHO ARE WE TO BELIEVE - ELLEN WHITE, OR SCRIPTURE? 

The writer of Heb. 9:12-14 plainly declared, ‘With His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption….  For this reason Jesus Christ [Alone] is the Mediator of the New Covenant… that those [who sincerely believed] may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance…  For Christ has not

entered the holy places made with [human] hands… [a material or physical sanctuary,] but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us…’  [Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, High Priest forever according to the Order of Melchizedek!]’ 

Paul also wrote in Eph. 2:8, ‘By grace you have been saved through faith, [past tense for those who sincerely believe in Christ!] and that not of yourselves, [by keeping some of the precepts of the Law;] it is the gift of God.’ 

How can salvation be such an entirely free, underserved, and unearned gift? 

Jesus’ “doing away with the handwriting of requirements,” completely, once and for all, atoned for the entire sinful, cursed state, place, or position of humankind without God, (Col. 2:13-15; Gal. 3:10-14; Rom. 3:23-24.) 

Solely by sincerely accepting Jesus’ atonement in our place, we are instantly and completely saved and blessed by the GRACE of God.  Of course, once we are saved by faith, we have to become disciples, following closely in the footsteps or ways of the Lord! - [Jn. 1:12-13; Gal. 4:6; Gal. 3:10-14; Jn. 14:15, 21-24.]

 

‘SATAN IS THE JOINT SIN-BEARER AND THE VICARIOUS SUBSTITUTE FOR THE SINNER:’

WM Irvine wrote, "Adventists further deviate in their salvation doctrine by teaching that Satan ultimately becomes the sin-bearer. They teach he bears away the sins of the world.  As the priest in removing the sins from the sanctuary, confesses them upon the head of the scapegoat, so Christ will place all these sins upon Satan, the originator and instigator of sin...” – [Comments, ‘The Great Controversy’ p. 485,’ Mark Martin; ‘Satan is The Sin Bearer,’ by Bob Pickle; ‘The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan, p. 605, by Ellen White.] 

While the Adventist Church does point to Christ as a sacrifice, the real scapegoat is actually SATAN, the author of sin, “upon whom the sins of the truly penitent will finally be placed.  When the high priest by virtue of the blood of the sin offering removed the sins from the ‘sanctuary,’ he placed them upon the scapegoat, (Satan.)  [That’s why poor Satan is always blamed for everything!]  Satan will, in the execution of the judgment, bear the final penalty.  The scapegoat was sent into a land not inhabited, never to return to the congregation of Israel.  So will Satan be forever banished from the presence of God and His people and ‘he will be blotted from existence in the final destruction of sin and the sinner.” 

We agree with WM Irvin, who declared in holy anger, “They dare to substitute for Christ’s finished work on the cross, Satan’s vicarious suffering in bearing away the sins of the people of God into a land of utter annihilation!  It does not lessen the blasphemous grossness of the idea to say that is it is wholly imaginary, the figment of the addled brain of a [grossly deceived] Adventist!” 

Ellen White founded all of these blasphemous lies on Lev. 23 and the book of Daniel, but Heb. 9:22 declares, ‘Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.’  Would Satan shed even one drop of his blood – even if he had blood to give?  No, definitely not - but since the fall in Eden, he continually sheds the blood of others!
